Don't Let the Enemy Get You Down

The devil hates Christians. He knows there is power in their prayers because those prayers go directly to the God of the universe. So the devil will do all he can to condemn, frighten, and discourage. The problem is, we often let him do this. He will cause us to doubt. He will cause us to question. He will cause us to waver in something we felt so strongly about just the other day. If he can keep us focusing on our problems or concerns instead of focusing on God, then he can do damage to our spiritual defenses.

When you start feeling those doubts or fears, or when you start to feel a bit insecure, get down on your knees and pray. Give God the problem. Tell Him your concerns. The stronger you feel these feelings, the more you need to pray. Fill yourself with His Word; draw comfort from His promises. Psalm 42:5 says, "Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God."

Don't let the enemy get you down. Turn to the One who can uplift and give you strength and peace.
